Charlie goes to a spa to dry out, but he takes a trunk of liquor with him. He tangles with another's gouty foot in a revolving door. Later he thinks the gouty man is making love signs to him (he doesn't Edna, the real object of the man's efforts), so he signs back. He interpets a massage to be a wrestling match. When management throws his liquor into the fountain, when flow the healthful waters, everyone gets drunk.

The film tells the story of Dee, a desperate woman who arrives at the “House of Abraham” to end her life with the help of Abraham, who leads weekend retreats for those looking to bid a permanent farewell to the world. As the weekend progresses, it soon becomes clear Dee has a secret agenda that throws the weekend and its participants into unexpected and sinister chaos. Shaye plays Beatrice, Abraham’s trusted partner in hosting the retreats who is also hiding her own secrets.

Kate and her brutish boyfriend Big Al sell handguns on the streets of New York. She's smart, stylish, and self-confident, but all that leaves her when Al, in a jealous and self-indulgent rage, beats her.
